If you’ve ever taken Ryanair, you probably have walked away with a very firm opinion of the airline. Love ’em or hate ’em, Ryanair really have created a product that is hard to say no to, especially when the pricing can be rock bottom. They’ve been in the business for many decades, have suffered the slings and arrows that is the bane of being a low-cost airline. Many airlines have tried Ryanair’s business model and have failed. More recently, the upstart airlines are still up for a fight, but Ryanair is so streamlined, where every single action or transaction is cleverly (some say ruthlessly) has been honed to almost Six Sigma perfection. Much of this tinkering and tuning has been part of the company’s DNA, but each year, they continue to squeeze as much performance as they can.
And it’s working. Watch the video below and sit back in admiration (or perhaps envy if you’re the business) as you see how having surgical focus can pay off – big time. And you, as a passenger can win too, but not without a little bit of pain.
One thing that Ryanair cleverly does is to fly from smaller regional airports. Saves them money, but you may have to find a way in to your destination city, as it may not be close.
There are options, of course – good ones, too. Why not try Eurowings, Lufthansa’s low-cost alternative. They also have holiday packages to make your trip even sweeter. Click here to look and book.
