You are probably well-aware of what New Zealand, and their dynamic Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, have done to stem Covid-19 infections. There were periods where the country had no active cases at all. And they still are a leading country when it comes to maintaining the safety.
That’s why it’s a bit disappointing to see the country struggling when it comes to travel. Auckland hotel operators are limping through summer with average bookings half that of last year, and showing little boost from the America’s Cup to the region’s high-end accommodation providers.
