Animals. You’re either a fan or you’re a robot. Even having a parakeet makes our lives that much better. You know it’s true. Perhaps you even have a pet in your home (lucky you; some places don’t allow it.) We humans grieve as much as other members of the family when they move into the beyond. When you think about it, the fact that animals of almost all species are open to us, whether it’s a cat, a dog, a goldfish or even an elephant, it’s a minor miracle.
Ironically, here we’re talking about the latter – elephants. As wise as they are huge, nearly everyone loves them, even if they don’t make ideal house pets for most of us. Luckily, over the past decades, we humans have gotten smarter in how we treat these gentle giants. Instead of being flogged and abused like it used to be in the past, humans have learned to love them and treat them accordingly.
One part of the world that does a very good job at this is Asia, as you might expect. There is a long-standing symbiotic relationship between the pachyderms and the humans there, so much that the humans give as much love to the elephants as they do to themselves. Want to find a way to do it, too?
Would you like to get up close and personal with these majestic miracles? Well, we have something for you. Our affiliate friends, Klook, have a super way of giving the love. It’s a Elephant Retirement Park day out. Located in Chiang Mai Thailand, this is a rare opportunity, and it’s so much fun, too. Here you’ll learn how to make herbal vitamin balls for elephants, Bond with baby elephants – feed, touch, and have a mud spa with them! You’ll get up close and personal with these gentle giants and learn how to protect them.
