Don’t blanc out.

We live in a country (Canada) where mountains are an everyday thing (the Rocky Mountains.) Not as large as some locations (stay tuned for that.) This Extends from British Columbia, Canada, through the western United States to New Mexico. Impressive, without a doubt, especially when you hire a car and drive your way through. But, when you start to depart in different locations, that’s where we mean business. Our subject here stretches along the western coast of South America, through Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. You can travel for days – even weeks – and not see it all.

They may not come readily to mind, but this post is about one of those places, which is actually in Europe: Mont Blanc is the big daddy in that part of the planet. Many consider it to be impenetrable and, so, often find ways to avoid it. Planes are the easy way out, but what about if you have some time and are longing for a place where the hills are alive with the sound of Mercedes’. The tunnels all across Europe can be truly jaw-dropping, but Mont Blanc must be the piece de resistance. Incredible technology and ingenuity for you to soak in. Hire a convertible, if you can. It’s completely worth it.
