Love Venice? Then watch this.

Here we are again, back featuring our most favourite YouTuber, Yan, from Little Chinese Everywhere. This time she has really delivered with this episode. Again, she is back in China, and even though she always gifts us with one gem after another, this video will make your jaw drop. And the adventure can be yours.

Yan writes “I am close to my hometown Guangde traveling to a small water town called Nanxun. Embedded in a Venice-like water canal layout the town offers unique architecture and great food. Join me on this tour through one of China’s most beautiful water towns.” If the idea of visiting China might fill you with questions, watch this and your mind will likely change. Absolutely stunning.

Nanxun is known for its exceptionally well-preserved ancient architecture, including traditional houses, canals, and bridges. It offers a glimpse into a bygone era of Chinese life. The town boasts a rich history dating back centuries, with connections to prominent figures in Chinese history. As well as history, spend some time at the Little Lotus Garden: This beautiful classical Chinese garden features pavilions, rockeries, and a tranquil lotus pond.

Explore the opulent former residences of wealthy merchants and scholars, offering insights into the town’s past.

Or, just escape the sometimes manic city life and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of Nanxun, with its canals, gardens, and traditional teahouses. Nanxun is less crowded than some of the more famous water towns in China, offering a more authentic and intimate experience.
