What would you say if we told you that you can fly, just above the crowds and the Hoi Poloi through Manhattan and get whisked away to your destination in style, comfort and, well . . . coolness? Probably sounds like click-bait, but this is for real. And not only that, you’ll be travelling through history, too. Watch below. Life is good.
Your chariot today will be The Roosevelt Island Tramway. As it sounds, it is an aerial tramway in New York City that connects Roosevelt Island to Manhattan. It provides a unique and scenic mode of transportation, offering stunning views of the city skyline and the East River. We’ve been to NYC many, many times and have completely missed this gem.
We always recommend the Opera House Hotel when in NYC. This sophisticated New York City hotel located in a historic building in the Bronx is 525 feet from the subway station. A daily continental breakfast is offered. Yankee Stadium is 1.6 mi away. The New York Botanical Garden is within 5 mi of the hotel, and Times Square is only 6.8 mi away. Additionally, the Lincoln Hospital and The Bronx Zoo are a few minutes away from the property. Click here to book.
They don’t call it Grand Central Station for nothing. Spend some time and wander. It’s stunning.
