Leave it to Johnny Foreigner to point out what you have. Many in the USA take for granted what the country actually offers. If you get away from the snide comments and the sometime questionable behaviour of its citizens, it can be a real epiphany if you’ve never made the leap. We have one good example here : the ever curious, ever cheerful and every open-minded British chap, Walk With Me Tim. He loves his adventures. We’ve featured him before because he really takes the time to make sure that he’s looked everywhere and sees everything – warts and all. This episode finds him out into the US West, to ostensibly see the Grand Canyon and beyond. It’s a beautiful place, without a doubt. If you’ve not been, what are you waiting for? Tim hires a rather large camper and, like a babe in the woods, off he goes.

An RV road trip across Arizona, Nevada, and Utah reveals both the joys and unexpected challenges of this American adventure. The blogger, Tim, documents the experience from initial RV tour of the camper itself, to navigating desert roads and roadside stops. From fully-equipped kitchens to unexpected mechanical issues, this video offers a candid look at RV life.
It’s funny, and the cultural differences make it even better. Taking a campervan or RV across the USA is a fantastic idea because it transforms a standard road trip into a fully immersive, spontaneous, and surprisingly flexible lifestyle experience. It’s often called the “ultimate American road trip” because it allows you to fully engage with the country’s vast and diverse landscapes on your own terms.

One of the big complaints about traveling is about how damned expensive it can be. Especially after Covid pummeled the travel industry into the ground, only now is it rising from the ashes, but with rising prices as well. According to NerdWallet’s Travel Price
Index, the overall cost of travel is up 9%. But, in the end, When our lads were young, we did just this and went down the USA’s east coast. Tim has chosen the west coast. Either way, it’s a lot of fun, or could be an epiphany for some. We have a number of posts that you might want to explore first. Click here
