Breathtaking in the real sense, as you squeeze and wheeze your way up the narrow and twisty 1000 years old stairs. Ahh.
Sometimes, when the “eager” vendors try to sell you a plastic replica, and take umbrage when you don’t purchase. c’est la vie, we say. Now, mentally reset your memories there, close your eyes and imagine that you live there, and part of your day is to maintain it, promote it and fall in love with it again and again.
