Where would we be without connectivity? Recent generations have come to accept that not only will the Internet work, but it will be fast and it will be cheap. The earth is about 24,901 miles (40,075 km) in circumference with about 7.674 billion people (as of 2019.) That’s a lot of bandwidth required.
Unbeknownst to most, the world is awash in cables. Underneath the waves, hundreds of fiber optic cables link the planet in a web of hyper-connected information.
A map of these cables spun around the globe is beautiful to behold.
