. . . go round the outside, round the outside. Apologies: we’re a few weeks late reporting on what is a national treasure in the western United States. It’s the Annual Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup. And this year it’s the 59th such event. What is it? It’s an annual event held in South Dakota, USA.
Witness a unique spectacle where hundreds of wild bison are gathered from the park’s expansive grasslands and moved to a new location. Talk about authentic Americana. The roundup features hundreds of wild bison, a species that once roamed the plains in vast numbers.
The big thrill is watching how cowboys on horseback skillfully herd the bison, showcasing their horsemanship and knowledge of animal behavior.
The roundup takes place in the stunning Black Hills of South Dakota, providing a picturesque backdrop. (And it’s a place you should visit anyway, as it’s not your “normal” American activity. It’s history, but it’s fun . . even if your family doesn’t like fun.) ☺ Click here
You might want to hire a monster truck out in them there hills. It’s bumpy. Booking․com has them. Click here to go wild.
