Be precise on the ice

The title of this post not only applies to life in general, but it also applies to the subject of the post: the Columbia Ice Fields in Banff, Alberta, Canada. One of the few remaining glaciers in North America, this precious resource of Mother Nature is – literally – breathtaking. We’ve done it, and the sites, the sheer magnitude and how small you feel in relation to it will always be indelibly in your memory. Trust us: we’ve been all over the world, and this is is unforgettable. But, watch your step – they’re slowly melting away, so treat them with care. (The tour guides will make sure that you do.)

The Royal Tyrrell Museum is breathtaking. Millions of years of oil fields have preserved the dinosaurs.

Rent a car and explore the hoodoos. Hoodoos take millions of years to form and stand 5 to 7 meters tall. Each hoodoo is a sandstone pillar resting on a thick base of shale that is capped by a large stone. Stunning!
