In this time of rampant, overbearing billionaires, me-me-me culture and ADHD social media, here’s something to act as an antidote to all of that. And, of course, it comes from Japan, where they seem to find a balance, no matter what. In this case, it’s a beautiful solution to an “ugly” problem – manhole covers. We’ll bet that this isn’t at the top of your list of things to worry about, but fixing the small problems leads to solving the big ones. And, at the end of the day, it’s art, too. Don’t you wish that your city thought this broadly?
