Ye, verily. As is our wont here at Matouring, we find great pleasure in presenting new (hopefully) and interesting (almost always) discoveries for our readers. There are 195 countries in the world, and 7.837 billion people in that world. That provides a bevy of opportunities for those of us who travel. And, recent travel horror stories aside, the world is still a great place to be (as if we have any choice) and humans are generally a terrific species to spend time with. This may sound simplistic, but we believe that people all want the same things. Safety, food, shelter, health and reasons to live. By traveling and sharing all of those beliefs – with lots of laughs and hugs as part of it – we all make the world a better place.
And what better way to do that, than to discover new places and share the joy. Have you heard of Whitsundays? Likely not. We hadn’t, and we’ve been in a large share of countries on the planet. The Whitsundays are an Australian island group nestled in the calm waters between the Great Barrier Reef and the Central Queensland Coast. When Captain James Cook first sailed through this island chain in 1770, he marvelled at the calmness of the waters. If you’ve been searching for a place to calm your 21st-century nerves, the Whitsundays could be just the vacation destination for you.
