Since 2019, travel has been, generally, a horror show. And, to be honest, it hasn’t gotten a whole lot better since then. Between trying to fire up dormant jet planes, to what once were thriving destinations (now slow and closed, in many places) ramping back up to 100% capacity has been slow-going. And we travelers haven’t made it easy on the airlines and hotels, to be fair. Many travelers back-out at the last minute (often because flights have been delayed or canceled) or because they have forgotten their travel etiquette. The net result, of course, is a range of sadness to disappointment to fist-fights in the concourses. It may take a while where things may stay worse before, they get better. People will still misbehave. Hang in there.
Ironically – and this may come as no surprise to many of you – travelers have always misbehaved. The hoops that the sometimes poor, beleaguered staff at the airports have had to deal with are nothing new. But, if you watch the video below. At New York’s JFK airport, more than 40,000 illegal items are found and destroyed at JFK. 1,000 bags an hour are checked for narcotics and illicit food. Customs and Border Patrol officials are tasked with stopping these goods from entering the United States. Watch the video below and . . . behave yourself!
