Every notable city has its standard “halo” locations: those places that, for better or worse, define the city it most peoples’ eyes and minds. Paris has the Eiffel Tower, London has Big Ben, Peru has Machu Pichu and, here, the USA has San Francisco and it’s Transamerica edifice. Like it or not, they’re the eye-catchers, the memory makers, the “must see” locations.
But, as our erudite Matouring readers always know, there’s something else under the skin of any city, and so many times, these gems get lost in the rush and the push of a frenetic holiday. And San Francisco is not exempt from this.
