In his documentary, filmmaker Paul Saltzman retraces his journey of 50 years ago when he spent – almost accidentally – a life-changing time with the Beatles at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram on the banks of the Ganges River.
In 1968, he discovered his own soul, learned meditation, which changed his life, and hung out with John, Paul, George and Ringo.
We’re big Beatles fans here at Matouring and have watched the film. Much of it is the filmmaker establishing the scenario, but it gently segues into a relaxed, almost voyeuristic experience with what (we’re convinced) is the best band that ever walked this earth.
