Ibiza in Spain is famous for its nightclubs, but what you probably did not know is that it is home to the largest nightclub in the world. This is Privilege , which with a main hall the size of an aircraft hangar, a 25-meter high ceiling and a swimming pool, has a capacity of 10,000 people.
That may not surprise you, but did you know that the island’s Phoenician town of Sa Caleta , in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, is the oldest urban nucleus on the island . The first settlers of Ibiza, the Phoenicians, lived there. As for the necropolis of Puig des Molins, it began to be used as such by the Phoenicians and continued to function as a cemetery a century later, with the arrival of the Carthaginians. Curiously, in its 3,000 underground tombs, not only human remains have been found, but also objects such as weapons, coins, ceramics or religious images.
Ibiza and Spain are full of surprises. Why not visit and discover for yourself?
