Sky High in Monaco.

What makes Monaco such an exhilarating experience? Is it the wealth, or the history or even the views. It’s all of that and more. But when you want to scale the height of heights and you can’t quite find your way into the exalted gambling dens, lush restaurants and the sheer aroma of the rich, what do you do if you simply can’t find your way in to wind your way in. Don’t give up. The Tim Traveler has the solution. It’s free, it’s fun and it’s genius: Elevators!

Monaco has 90 public elevators and 35 public escalators, a number that is increasing as the principality replaces its escalators with elevators to improve accessibility. These public lifts are part of Monaco’s extensive network of moving walkways, pedestrian streets, and public transport, designed to facilitate easy movement across the hilly principality. It’s almost too good to be true, but keep it in mind next time you wish to hit the heights. Watch Tim’s post, above. And take notes!
