But, it looks like there are rumblings (oh isn’t that coincidental) as one particular non-EU country is turning everything upside down in its favour. Really? Haven’t we seen all of this before? Go away Mr. President, to where freedom rings. Why are we pining on about this? Well, this effects us, too. And we have a say.
Belgium’s reputation as a “hidden gem” is a bit of a paradox. While it’s a major player in European politics and business, and its food is globally celebrated, many travelers tend to overlook it in favor of its larger neighbors, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. However, this is precisely why it’s a gem—it offers an incredible amount of culture, history, and charm without the overwhelming crowds of more famous destinations.
