India’s Largest Railway Complex

. . .with the emphasis on complex. From rush hour with love.

You may grumble when your train or plane is fifteen minutes late. That’s how it’s supposed to work, and most of the time it does. We humans are usually the reason why our commute is never on time. And, of course, someone needs to get the blame. But imagine the pressure of having to shuttle around in a country where 1.438 billion live, and most absolutely rely on trains. We’re talking about India, or course. Welcome to  Howrah Junction.

Howrah Junction railway station is one of the oldest and busiest train stations in India, located in Howrah, West Bengal. It’s been operating since 1854 and serves as a major gateway to Kolkata and eastern India. Over 600 trains operate daily from the station, including many iconic trains. The station has 23 platforms and a rating of 4.1. The station has facilities such as restrooms and paid parking. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible parking, entrances, and restrooms. No pressure as a manager, eh? We’re willing to bet that many of you will want to give this adventure a go.
