Soon, these truck bays could be filled with planes. If your destination in the UK often requires flights, you might want to perk up your ears a bit. After many years of hemming and hawing, a rather ignored little airport in the southeast of England may be ready to shine once again.

We’re talking about Manston Airport. Manston Airport has a fascinating history. However it’s currently closed to commercial flights. But that could be changing. Manston played a crucial role during World War II, serving as a key RAF base in the Battle of Britain, but now one of its missions could be to make flying back and forth to Europe a breeze. The existing terminal just needs a lick of paint and a new shine. And roads to the airport are good, the current owners have stated.
