Frank Lloyd’s right.

This is the year of bucket lists we’re told in some of this month’s magazines. There are some rather tasty options, with accompanying prices, and that’s OK. To each their own. Baby, baby it’s a wild world. But what if you want to jump out of the bucket and into a sphere of a different kind? And what if that you can experience that new world without leaving the living room. Or, should we say leaving someone’s living room? The room we’re proposing is stepping into the future past. If you’re used to tiny apartments with plasterboard walls, this adventure will make you feel like you’re in a another planet, and in some ways you are. Enough of the vague hints, we’re proposing to visit the future from the past.

Meet Frank Lloyd’s Wright’s system-built homes guided tour Frank Lloyd Wright Sr. was an American architect, designer, writer, and educator. He designed more than 1,000 structures over a creative period of 70 years.  His designs still stun visitors into rapt silence upon entering. He is singular: no-one like him since.

Wright championed the concept of “organic architecture,” where buildings should harmonize with their natural surroundings. He believed that architecture should be an expression of the site and its environment, rather than simply imposing itself on the landscape. He also revolutionized residential design by introducing open floor plans that blurred the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. This created a sense of fluidity and interconnectedness within the home that some homes still feature to day, or have been copied.
