If you’re an extreme or over-the-top person, feel free to skip to the next post. Once again, we’re sorry / not sorry about another yet relaxing but purposeful post about Mother Europe.
The problem (for us) is that it’s almost too easy to write it: there’s just too much to do already. We are the fortunate ones. (Did you know that the European continent is also known as the the western peninsula of Eurasia, and Frangistan?)
That’s a mouthful. Impress your friends. So, to business! A rather pretty part of Europe popped up in our inbox and surprised us this past week. It’s part of the Alsace area, and it’s stunning.
This charming place is an historical town and former commune in Alsace in northeastern France. The name is German for Emperor’s Mountain. The high fortress that dominates the town serves as a reminder of both its strategic importance and its warlike past. Lucky for us, that part of Alsace has survived. Watch below.
Does that view just not call out to you to visit? It pulls on our heartstrings, that’s for sure. Visit the picturesque villages of Eguisheim, Kayserberg, Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr and you’ll see what we mean.
Have magnificent photo opportunities along the Alsace wine route Sample Alsace wines such as Crémant, Gewurztraminer, Riesling and many more
With this tour you’ll enjoy comfortable round-trip service from Colmar in an air-conditioned minivan.
