Squeamless Borders

Wait until you read this. Sheesh. We’re happy when we can cross the Canadian / US border without a two hour queue. Progress, right? So visualize, if you will, us watching YouTube today and watching Yan (she of Little Chinese Everywhere) fame as she continues her indefatigable quest to see pretty much everywhere on the planet. She’s getting pretty darn close to here objective. But this most recent episode was a tour de force, even by her standards. Amazing what a smile and genuine curiosity can do.

To cut a long story short, Yan has passed through most of the Asian and Eurasian countries with no problems. You can see why: everyone falls in love with her (us included.) Her sweet, kind and genuinely honest approach to travel should be taught in all schools and universities.

But one of her target destinations is Russia (same for us.) In this episode, she jumps every hurdle – with style – and shows the rest of us on “how not to be afraid.” Sit down, have a cup of oolong tea and see how it’s done. With the aid of Google Translate, you can be doing it too. Yan should be a member emeritus of the United Nations. Peace on earth. Peace and love. Melt the guns! Vote for Yan!
