Begone, jetlag: behold the sound of sunrise

We shall fight, and we shall win. With high hopes, we present another useful post for those who fly, and those who fail when it comes to getting a “decent” sleep when aboard a jet liner. Complete and utter sleep (which is indeed possible) usually requires a bucket full of cash and very specific airliners, most of which are in short supply at the time of this writing.

(Lufthansa, British Airways, Air France, Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Virgin Atlantic, Thai, Singapore Airlines, and many other major airlines offer lie-flat beds in Business Class on their long-haul aircraft, including the A380 and 747.)

But, no surprise, they’re not cheap and, given the scope of the planes listed above, they also may not be readily available, either. “What price luxury?” my mother might ask. Money, lots of money. But, for the rest of us, read more here courtesy of BreakingTravelNews.com

Don’t do this on a plane if you want to sleep.

Here are some different ways of solving the problem: Guided Imagery: Imagine yourself in a serene, calming environment. This can help distract your mind from the airplane’s noise. Autogenic Training: This relaxation technique involves focusing on specific body parts and mentally warming or cooling them. Weighted Blanket (if allowed): If your airline permits, a small weighted blanket can provide a comforting pressure sensation, and finally, Essential Oils: Some people find certain scents relaxing. However, be mindful of other passengers and airline regulations. There you go.

One top way to do this is to simply take a faster plane. The aircraft that is the fastest, the Boeing 747-8, which flies at Mach 0.855, or 652 mph. at least in Jun of, 2024. And think of the thrill to fly on that legend. Your editor was lucky enough to do so, and it’s nonpareil. The Airbus A380 is also still coursing through the skies, in another once in a lifetime event.
