Sorry for sounding like your mother, but this topic is important in this day and age. Rail is the past present and future. Like we always say, why sit in a long queue of polluting vehicles that stretches into the distance? Mother nature doesn’t want that anymore, nor the “nature crying out” based cataclysms that we humans experience more and more. Will we ever learn?
Watching a video the other day, courtesy of YouTube’s delightful Davud Akhundzada, we were pleased to see how some of the Arab countries are embracing rail, even through the desert. There is a certain kind of (happy) irony when countries who produce oil also feature incredible rail services in the package. But, with the 300 KM/H benefits, this just goes to show that rail is “the now” not just the future. This is just the beginning. This is no third-class service. Wait until you see the luxuries passengers can look forward to.
