Airlines make a lot of money from baggage fees and they often count on this as a way to eke out a profit on flights where the ticket prices are low or discounted,
But sometimes the airlines push the boundaries on what is acceptable service when it comes to delivering them to you when they are late in doing that.
Fortunately, there might be some relief from this. The US government administration plans to crack down to require refund of fees when bags are delayed for over 12 hours.
