If we may, we will keep periodically drip feeding content and images from our recent Asia Adventures. We don’t want to overdo it like your uncle’s slide shows. However, in a nutshell, nearly everything was gobsmacking. Some of it was OTT (over the top) but suffice to say that we will never forget it. Who knows, maybe we’ll go back again. It has the pull of good travel, that’s for sure.
Naturally, when you travel, you’ll need a place to lay your weary head. There are so many hotels in Japan and Korea, that you may end up having a migraine trying to decide. Luckily for me, my better half was on the ball when we were searching. One result was APA Hotels, who are a Japanese hospitality group that operates a large chain of urban-style hotels in Japan and North America.

In Japan, they are known for their “Always Pleasant Amenities” concept, featuring modern, eco-friendly designs and amenities like high-tech washlets. In North America, APA Group owns Coast Hotels, which it acquired in 2016 and operates as a separate brand. (In case you’re wondering, The name “APA” stands for “Always Pleasant Amenities”.) They didn’t let us down. We spent a tremendous amount of time finding just the right hotel at the right place in with the right price. We used our affiliate partners, booking.com to source the right one. Highly recommended as we had a couple of hiccups with two hotels, but working with Booking‘s team, thing were corrected, quickly and professionally. To look and book, click here

In addition to comfortable rooms with all amenities, washing & drying units were always just down the hall.

And, finally, the hotels were always elegant, easy to find (in the rain) & had helpful staff. We were impressed.

Although we loved Asia’s trains & used them as much as possible, cars were sometimes necessary. We used our affiliate partners, Booking com. for this. As ever, it was a good experience. To book your car, click here.
