What on Earth day??

Mother Earth is still fighting the good fight, despite so many of us giving her a hard time. She keeps warning us, but many of us are still not listening. And if things keep going the way that they are, there won’t be any rooms where she will send us when we’ve misbehaved: they’ll all be burnt rubble.

But, there is still time if we wake up and smell the smoke. And one way of saving the planet is to understand the planet and its people – and that is something that can only be done by visiting those people and understand.

It may seem counterintuitive to think that travel will save the planet, but if we do it right, and we do it right now, we may just have a chance. But, we must be smart and we must be strategic and we must put our old ways back into a box and learn how to see the Earth anew.

From trails which traverse fishing villages and scale volcanoes to hikes down glaciers and along the coast, here are example epic European hikes you won’t want to miss. The Europeans can teach the world a thing or two when it comes to the environment, living sensibly and getting around via eco transport. And walking is good for you and for the earth. What’s not to like?
