Pod Squad

You know, sometimes we are in so much of a hurry when we’re traveling, that we miss so many interesting and unusual things that are around us. We can only imagine the amount of thought, design and execution that takes place in order to provide us with sensible, organised, fluid and welcoming spaces at airports. And being at airports can certainly be harrowing and depressing places to be when things go wrong.

Stunning Changi Airport in Singapore.

But, when we have a bit of time to relax, you’ll be surprise to see what you can find. Let’s start with London’s Heathrow Airport in London. Heathrow has regained its crown as Europe’s busiest airport, according to its latest passenger data. The west London airport said it hosted 5.8 million passengers between July and September, more than rivals in cities such as Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam. Given that Covid 19 completely scuppered the plans of not only travelers, but also the airport itself.

But, if you give yourself a bit of time, you might enjoy using Heathrow’s Pods. These not well known machines can reduce getting off an internal flight at T5 to your car via these pods in only 20minutes.
