Just a bucolic village

We try to cover the earth as best we can when it comes to our articles. We’re interested in everywhere, to be honest. You’ve seen articles here about Tokyo, or Berlin. We’ve featured places that you may not have even heard of, they’re so obscure. But, we try to keep it as interesting and diverse as we can.

So, with that in mind, let us introduce you to Chagrin Falls, Ohio USA. It’s a small place of only around 4,000 people, just an hour or so outside of Cleveland Ohio. It has a main street and a calming waterfall in the centre of town. There are some interesting little shops: upscale clothing, up-to-date restaurants and the kind of honest and enthusiastic promoters that you might expect almost anywhere. And there is an annual Art Festival (Art by the Falls) that might surprise you with the volume and quality of the submissions.

Why an article about Chagrin Falls? Well, why not? If you find yourself in NorthEast Ohio, perhaps heading along the motorway towards Pittsburgh or New York, treat yourself and take a little detour. And, here’s our top tip: go in the Autumn (September to November) to see the almost incandescent colours of the trees. They’re mostly maple trees, with a level of sugar in them, so the colours will amaze you.

You’ll find yourself slow down to stop and smell the popcorn.
