Don’t be left flat

The future is here . . for those of us who can afford it. Electric vehicles make so much sense, and they’re getting ever more affordable. Even car rental companies like Hertz now offer EV rentals with Tesla vehicles. Global cumulative sales of highway-legal light-duty plug-in electric vehicles reached 1 million units in September 2015,[3] 5 million in December 2018,[4] and passed the 10 million milestone in 2020.[5] By the end of 2021 there were about 17.5 million light-duty plug-in vehicles on the world’s roads. That’s great news for the environment.

But, with all of those vehicles, they’ll need to be charged. Home is the obvious solution, but what if you’re away . . . far, far away? Well, never fear, our affiliate friends Roadtrippers have maps on how to locate charging stations around the U.S.

And, if you have Google Maps built into your car, open the app and provide your destination. Once you have entered your destination into the app, tap ‘Add charging stop. ‘ Google Maps will then present EV charging stations along your journey. Choose a charging station and let Google Maps do the rest.
